HOW DO I adopt a baby duck for the Duck Race?

1. Purchase a Baby Duck Adoption ticket from a committee member or online at www.rockwallduckrace.org.

2. Come to the race and cheer your duck on! We'll take care of the rest!
Each duck ticket is assigned a number, which corresponds to a baby rubber duck in our races. The winners will be announced at the Stage following the races and posted on our website & social media channels!

 

WHEN and WHERE are the Duck Races?

The GloRace (Glow in the Dark Rubber Duckies!) [Fountain on the Harbor]
Fri., Sept. 14th, immediately following "Movie on the Lake" (appx. 9:30pm)

What happens if my rubber duck wins?

We will announce the winners immediately after the race. Prizes are TBA.

 

Do I have to be present to win?

No!
But be sure to give us your up-to-date contact information when you adopt a duck so we can contact you!

 

DO YOU use actual baby ducks?

Of course not! Only rubber duckies here! No ducks are harmed in the making of this event.

 

WHAT is the Southwest Kia Rockwall Rubber Duck Regatta?

The 2018 Southwest Kia Rockwall Rubber Duck Regatta is one of the signature Family Festivals hosted at the Harbor in Rockwall, Texas. The 2 Day Festival features performances by local groups, a "Movie on the the Lake", a GloDuck Race, a Day Race, a "Shake Your Tail Feathers" 5K & Fun Run, lake activities, a "KidZone" and so much more! PLUS all proceeds benefit the Rockwall branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Texas!

Anyone and everyone! The Rockwall Rubber Duck Regatta is open to anyone who wants to have a QUACKTASTIC time.

 

WHO does the Southwest Kia Rockwall Rubber Duck Regatta benefit?

100% of the proceeds of this event will go to the Rockwall Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Texas. The mission of the Boys & Girls Club is to enable all youth, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. The Rockwall Clubs is located at Rochelle Elementary, and is open to all school age kids during out of school time. For more information, visit www.begreatnext.org.

 

HOW MUCH does it cost to attend the Southwest Kia Rockwall Rubber Duck Regatta?

Entry to this event is FREE, and there are plenty of free things to do like: play a carnival game, tour a sailboat, watch the performances on the stage, and cheer on the duckies in the Duck Race.
Duck Adoption Tickets (entry in the Rubber Duck Race) are as follows:
$5 = 1 Duck Entry
$20 Quack Pack = 5 Duck Entries (1 FREE!)
$50 Derby Dozen = 12 Duck Entries (2 FREE!)
An all access wristband to the KidZone is $20 (includes petting zoo, rock climbing wall, and entry to the Duck Race!), and FunPass wristband to the KidZone is $10.
Duck Swag will be available for purchase at the Quack Shack.
Food trucks will be present for purchasing food and drinks, and Market Vendors will be available for shopping.
Parking is FREE!

 

WHAT will there be to do?

Oh Duckie! Where do we start? To kickoff the event on Friday night, we have a "Movie on the Lake" special screening of The Sandlot, and a Glow in the Dark Rubber Duck Race.
The main event happens on Saturday, September 15th. The day starts with a "Shake Your Tail Feathers" 5K & Fun Run. At 10am, the event opens with Carnival Games, Market, Lake Activities like remote control sailboat races and sailboat tours, KidZone with video game trucks, inflatable obstacle course, rock climbing, petting zoo, and more PLUS our signature Rubber Duckie Race at 4pm.
Too hot? Cool off in the Lazy Lagoon Lounge and listen to the local performers on the Texan Theater Stage!
There will be no shortage of things to do for ALL AGES!

Head up to the Harbor Restaurants, or stop by our Duck Truck Yard for the best grub around!

 

HOW do I become a vendor at the Southwest Kia Rockwall Rubber Duck Regatta?

To become a vendor, you will need to complete the Vendor Application Form, Liability Release Form, and submit payment. This can all be downloaded in the Vendor Section of our website: www.rockwallduckrace.org.
Non-food (advertising) vendors must provide a FREE carnival game.

This year, we are going ALL OUT for a quacktastic good time. Mark your calendars because you won't want to miss when the rubber meets the water at the 2018 Southwest Kia Rockwall Rubber Duck Regatta! This year, we have a completely new LakeZone featuring a remote control sailboat regatta, sailboat tours, and a "Wet Duckie" Zone. The KidZone is new and improved with video game trucks, rock climbing and petting zoo. Take a walk through the market as you listen to local performers on the stage. Need to cool off? Head over to the Lazy Lagoon Lounge for a spell! Take the plunge with us as we raise funds to support the Rockwall branch ofthe Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Texas.

WHAT is the Rubber Duck Beauty Pageant?

Ducks in the Rubber Duck Beauty Pageant are much larger than the standard baby ducks. Sponsored by businesses, organizations, and individuals, these ducks are decorated by their owners and put on display for voting at the Rockwall County Library prior to the festival. All ducks will be displayed at the event with the winners for 1st, 2nd, 3rd & Ugly Duckling marked with ribbons. To enter the Rubber Duck Beauty Pageant, head on over to www.rockwallduckrace.org.
